New parents with a crying baby
If you are looking for practical advice on dealing with a distressed infant, start with Book 3 and read Chapters 4 and 5.
Parents wondering about growth or introducing foods other than milk
If you are looking for advice on these subjects, begin in Book 3 with Chapters 6 and 7.
Pregnant parents
If you are preparing for the birth of a child, do the questionnaire at the start of Book 3 before you start reading. Then read Book 3, coming back as you need each part once baby is here.
